Triplets! Remember them?

Remember the triplet girls who came to us in March 2006? They were about 16 months old and only one of them, Natasha, could stand. Natalie could sit up and Naomi couldn't do anything much except turn over. They were badly malnourished.

By August 2006 all three were walking. After a little more than a year with us the girls returned to their family. We helped their mother set up a small business so she could support the girls, their 3 older siblings and their parents.

The girls came to visit us on November 22nd and we were SO thrilled to see them. They are all beautiful and healthy and smart! They turned 4 in October and will start to school next year. We definitely want pay their school fees.

Finances

Our funding comes through Christian Light Ministries, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, a 501(c)(3) corporation. CLF deducts 5% for its administrative expenses, currently $420 per month for my medical insurance, and then deposits the rest in my bank account.

CLF does not raise funds for me or their other missionaries. They simply funnel donations through to us and make sure we are doing what we tell our supporters. They provide receipts and 1099s to donors. I am directly responsible for raising my own support.

The children's home here operates just like a family at home. All funds go into the pot and we meet everyone's needs from the pot. Infants, sick and malnourished children need more expensive food than healthy children and need more staff to care for them.

We need about $7500 a month for normal operating expenses, rent and other large expenses. I believe in transparency: questions are welcome.
